Small Yacht (Pacer) classes racing
This year Yachting Tasmanian ran an Open Team Racing Exhibition Event at the Royal
Hobart Regatta for the first time. This event was run in close proximity to the shore on Saturday 6th Feb. Team Racing is a fast and thrilling shorter format of sailing, compared to normal yacht races, where teams of 6 compete against each other over a course of 6-10 minutes.
This event fell as a perfect lead into the Tasmanian Schools Teams Racing Championship held on the 2nd/3rd April in the north of the state, and as a result this event was very competitive between school teams.
Sailors of all ages were encouraged to enter a team (email@example.com) and give the younger teams a run for their money.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org or search ‘Discover Sailing’ to find out more.
